Scaredy Cat(open)

[Haruki Aburame]

The breeze was cool for today which it was normally a mild heat which made the ninja Haruki look around for any trouble indeed but found nothing. He was just getting ready to leave his small home with his parent; grabbing the 4 kunai and 8 shuriken's fitting them in there holster's on his belt looking to make sure it was tightly in. Then walked around to look at the buddha looking puppet that was buzzing softly since he just fed them so they where happy; he would gently wrap up the puppet in a blanket then in a thick white bandage sealing it tight. Picking the puppet up settling on his back heading for the door with light step's then just jumped out the open window.

Haruki's sea foam green jacket and his baggy pants going higher and higher as he landed down on the ground with a grunt with his barefeet taking the blunt of the blow. He would start to walk slowly having token a misson earlier in the week and didn't get around to it till know. His brown hair wasn't blowing in the wind like his pant's because they where covered in a hood which kept his ears from hearing the wind and able to see in hearing as long as his normal sight which was behind his a thin blindfold.

The misson was to capture the missing cat of Miss. Rezumi which was simple enough to Haruki which was what he thought till Miss. Rezumi told him that she was a fercious so he didn't know what was going to happen with this cat so he quickly began to run looking through the streets for a dark black cat with dark orange eyes. The cat was no where to be found to his sight which made him frown slowly forward in wonder trying to figure where this mystery cat was.

[Rin Sayuri]

Rin had finished up some paperwork before she was told that a genin in the village who she was subbing in for his sensei was still working on a mission to find the missing cat. It was an easy mission she wondered how the boy could miss a cat. One cat. It was a black cat with orange eyes the only one of the village who looked like that. She sighed and did not bother to touch her hat that was hanging on the walls of her office as she kept on her white long coat that said Hokage on the back in red letters as the sleeves had been cut off it and the arms dropped lower.

Rin then tore it off throwing it on her desk not needing it to do a mission with her student. She was in a black short dress with a grey apron covered the front as the sides were slit open showing the bandages she wore. Rin kept the sleeves of the V neck dress on as they covered down to her hands like a kimono to hide the bandages on her arms only ones showing were those on her hands as she walked out of the office, her hair was tied up in a pony tail with a thin black string that had two bells dangling off it.

She already had started her day off in a good mood until she heard that the Uchiha she had once hunted after was coming back around her village one issue she would have to deal with. rin sighed as she then ran through the streets before jumping on top of a building and leaping across town until she spotted Haruki and sighed. He looked lost more than ever. Rin then landed swiftly as she flipped off the building behind Haruki quietly before she spoke hoping to not spook him too much. " Haruki.. Ever thought of laying a trap or checking the training grounds? Cat's do like to play you know. It could of gone off running towards where we train after an animal or bird." she hoped her one hint would be enough to get the genin thinking. Due to after this hint she would be watching in the background.

This made Haruki slowly blink then he spat on the ground thinking of his next move then he heard a thunk as two feet hit the ground making him turn around quickly to notice his hokage there standing proud and true which made him bow quickly, "Hello, Sensei! An that is a great idea." He would quickly dart away running towards the market to find a fish merchant.

Haruki quickly dropped two ryo on the stand grabbing the stinkiest fish out there; this was the most concentrated. Then he would run to a chicken merchant getting a few feathers for a piece of ryu and finally took a cord of string from his pocket returning to the alley way last time the cat was seen knowing this was a good spot to make the trap. He would walk down a nearby alley finding a abandon wooden crate running back to the main alley.

Haruki knew that his Sensei was watching him from the distance and he looked up with a cocky smile as he unraveled his puppet placing the blanket on the ground then setting the puppet on the ground propping his arm up at a 90 degree angle. He would tie the feathers up in front of the propped up crate and then placing the rotten fish in the trap at the bottom then moved 20 feet away hiding behind several crate. He would quickly align to the puppet getting the chakra blue puppet strings on the puppet.

[Rin Sayuri]

Rin shook her head rubbing the top of Haruki's head. Her villager's for now were her top concern, until she passed the hokage name on and moved on with her life going back to hunting the missing-nin. " Good morning to you as well Haruki. Now as for-" before she could finish her speech the boy ran off to a vender as her eyes twitched a bit.

How was this practical, buying form a vendor when if you were out in a forest it would not be there just to buy. Rin sighed as she crossed her arms before using the body flicker techinqiue with her own added speed to end up behind the body while her was working with his puppet. Rin picked him up with ease as she pulled his face to the level of hers. " Do NOT make me repeat myself. When I am speaking you sit, stay, and do not move. Am I clear? Good. Now, What WOULD you do if that vendor was not there. I can tell you this much that cat would not stay in alleys or near rotten fish for one. "

RIn than placed him down as she ran her finger's threw her hair sighing before looking down at the boy. She then glanced around them as dozens of angry hungry homeless cats were around them as she smiled to her student before smirking." You caused your facing it." she threw one of her kunais with a seal on it at the top of the building before she used the flying thunder god technique to land a few buildings away pulling the kunai out as she kneeled on the top and watched her student waiting to see how he would react to all the cats coming at him trying to claw and bite him.

That made Haruki smirk as he heard his sensei saying sit, stay, and do not move which made him laugh even more as he say's slowly, "You think of me as a dog, Sensei?" That made him grin widely then he listen slowly listening to her next prompt of words nodding slowly frowning slowly, he says slowly, "Buzzkill.. An I would think so." He really didn't know crud about cat's and there way's except for a few bits which he used for know. Then he noticed all the cat's around him then turned to his Sensei noticing she was abandoning him which made him sigh.

Haruki turned quickly knowing his puppet wouldn't be attacked by the cat's making him frown slowly as he darted to the wall jumping up trying to run up the wall just like he would run up a tree. With the chakra concentrated on his feet he stuck making him look down with big bulging eyes not knowing he was that scared of heights. He turned quickly around running up the building with quicker not wanting to fall he would then find a window still to stand on looking down.

Haruki noticed the cat he was after he would quickly set the chakra lines to his puppet which strummed to life throwing the crate high in the air just over the cat then it quickly dropped the box on top of the cat then carefully holding it down waiting till the cats finished up the fish he looking up to his sensei saying loudly, "Fishing is easy this isn't."

[Rin Sayuri]

Rin laughed as she watched her student smiling as soon as the cats were gone she jumped down and removed the crate picking up and petting the black cat as it nuzzled against her." I am sorry baby girl. Oh.. My poor crystal eyes. " Rin then put the face of the cat's to Haruki showing it had blue eyes. " The cat is black with orange eyes not blue. " she then placed the cat down as she sighed and ran her fingers threw her hair before looking at her student. Fishing was easy to some but so was missions and this one was such a low rank.

Rin raised an eyebrow as she looked won at Haruki " Next time you call me a Buzzkill when were prepping you for harder missions in the future you will find yourself spending a few days cleaning the bird crap off the village buildings? we clear?" she said with some harp behind it but did not care. Rin then walked out of the alley looking around as she spotted the black cat with orange eyes darting off towards the training grounds after taunting them with a fish tail in its mouth.

Rin laughed as she looked back at Haruki " And that is why you do not spend ryo and buy fish. I know exactly where the cat went. But I want to see how well you can gather information. So go gather some. Ask around." Rin was being rather strict on the boy, but she knew he could do better he was going to be a great ninja and she could tell that from the start.

This was common for Haruki more on top of more work for him which made him sigh as he gently picked up his puppet moving the puppet to the blanket he left on the ground which was surprisingly ok. He would gently wrap the blanket around the puppet tucking it in like a child with the extra bandage's wrapping the puppet up tightly tucking the bandages holding the puppet in. He would carefully make a strap strapping it on to his back.

Haruki twitched hearing this wasn't the cat he was hunting for looking over to his sensei sighing slowly saying softly, "Can't we just give her that cat. It's nice enough and the only difference is the eye color." Then he heard his sensei wanting him to get more information and then she told him not to call her a buzzkill then told him of his punishment laughing slowly shaking his head, "Yes, Sensei." This was a lesson and should learn every bit. Hearing that he should go collect information which was easy enough if they where willing.

This made Haruki antsy he hated communicating with people so he would slowly walk to the market looking around at all the stalls going to one gently tapping on the vendor before saying slowly, "I am looking for a cat that is black with orange eyes kinda unique. Just need a few pieces of info would help me so much." He would glance down looking down at his hidden barefeet making him wait slowly shy.

[Rin Sayuri]

Rin giggled lightly " Oh Haruki.. If you substitute one cat for one that does not look or act the same, it will not work. Like Ninja, If I have to substitute Gavin back in Anbu I better make myself look the same, but acting? I can because I grew up with him but for someone who does not know him It would lead to failure. Do you understand? We need to find the actual cat. Maybe If you find it I will give you some Bonus Ryo. Or you won't have to do my bell test for another two weeks. " she spoke softly before running fingers threw her hair watching him closely as she smiled.

Rin watched from the alley way as she saw Haruki being shy and shook her head as people walked passed him. He would have to learn to walk up to someone and ask them a question or sneak around and gather information another way. Rin then looked to the side as she watched some Jonin and Chunin coming back from missions and heading off to collect there rewards as they smiled and nodded towards Rin. Her eyes then turned back to her student as she sighed. More advice could help, but he would not get it on real missions if she was not there, He would have to learn for himself. HIs puppet made him a Long to Mid range distance fighter, or Ninja. He would be the one most likely gathering information for the team or on the target. IN this case that dang cat.

Standing stoic as ever Haruki as his sensei lectured him taking in the information slowly he says softly back, "Yes, Sensei. Thank you for your enteral wisdom. An the bell test makes me feel like I am stupid, Sensei." Haruki was brutally honest as he stand stoic then nodded slowly starting to move from his sensei and into the crowd where he silently listened to some information from others but then soons looks around lifting his hand slowly as I fly landed on it making him nod slowly.

This made Haruki gently talk to himself still stoic as he found a piece of paper in his pocket pulling it out to write a bit of information on to it adding bits of information on it as he slowly processed things making him sigh finding only a bit of information which made him sad as he returned to his Sensei gingerly giving her the slip of information then returning to the crowd.

This is where Haruki picked up a cockroach gently nodding to it then moves again to have a fly drop down which again he talked to it with a little laugh which was odd then he kept moving on. This time his ears where picking up random pieces of information not hearing anything to smart then he picked up another coachroach running back to his Sensei producing the coachroach saying slowly to his Sensei, "This Blattidae has given me vital information. Says something about grounds where giant creature attack each other and not harm each other but cause red salty stuff to flow is where a unique cat stays. So what I understand the training grounds is the home of the cat." Haruki didn't sound confident but stoic to a point of interest.

[Rin Sayuri]

Rin watched her student as she smiled leaning back on a wall, she watched him run around to bugs, ah so he finally found a way to use his clan abilities for his information gathering. This was good. He was learning, finally. Her mind ran over oa few things as she sent messages to her anbu to gather a few chunin for her to test. Rin then walked out and off the wall of the alley watching her villagers when she found Haruki still moving about. He had to fight that shyness one way or another soon, she wanted a full team, three students to fill her rank, as a sensei. Sub in or not, she loved this. Teaching, it felt nice to do. Rin then turned as she found Haruki walking back to her as she smiled gently.

" Alright, you found a way to gather information, but next time do it quiet and do not let people see you gather it. What did you find." she asked the boy a waiting his answer as she ran her hands threw her hair again as the wind blew by them It was a nice day. Maybe she would go to the springs later. she listened to him talk and nodded. " Alright then lead the way, I will follow you haruki, after all this is your mission not mine." she said as she stood there now crossing her arms over her chest. If it was her mission the cat would already be in a bag or dead.

Haruki was a little shocked that his sensei let him take charge and well this was his mission when she spoke to him nodding slowly as he whispered softly, "Yes, Sensei. I apologize for my mistakes." He went quiet after this slowly lifting his foot starting to walk slowly to the training ground, his hands in his pockets resolved once again in his own world as he walked to the training ground. He had all the time in world for him he didn't look up when people passed him.

Once reaching the training ground's Haruki tapped his puppet softly for good luck as he slowly moved through the grounds moving around all of the other shinobi's sparring and training not wanting a confrontation with them as he looked around disappearing sitting down on the ground acting as of he tripped letting his hand touch the ground. Several ant's crawled on him giving him information silently he would stay sitting on the ground for a couple minutes before standing again.

This wasn't to bad for Haruki knowing the general direction of the cat so he found a nice thick tree which he could climb slowly he moved his chakra to his bare feet slowly walking up the tree scared as ever as usual of the heights hanging upside down as he looked for the cat finding it's nest where it stayed. He would quietly move to the nest sitting there till the cat would return hidden behind a building not looking at the nest acting stoic and quiet.
This didn't look like the best of strategies for Haruki but he didn't want to waste anymore of his chakra or energy on a simple count of chasing the damn cat so he stayed quiet in his area listen ever so carefully for the cat to spring up as they normally did. This looked as if he was doing nothing and this was exactly what he was doing but with a few bugs to help him he has the area scoped out.

[Rin Sayuri]

Rin followed slowly behind her student as she took mental notes on what he was doing and why. She was interested to find out more on him. More of how he handled what was going on around him, and his mission. The boy was doing things the way his clan would, this was good. Working on his abilities and using them to his advantage. Rin stayed back as she crossed her arms. She watched him go up the tree as she saw the fear in his face and sighed.

Next step after this mission would be to knock the fear out of his head. Heights was an easy fear to fix with children, and mainly genin. That would be simple enough with a few lessons maybe a weeks worth. Rin sighed as she watched him closer. Wondering if he had spotted the cat yet of not. Her hands ran threw her long dark green hair as she closed her eyes for a few minutes listening to the sounds around her. It was clam and kind. Everything was going well.

The genin would have the cat sooner or later and she would get to head back and have a full report from Gavin on how his mission went with the rest of the Anbu. " Hey Haruki.. Keep an eye out, cats do have sharp claws my dear " she said as a warning trying to help the boy with what he was doing. a Suttle hint was fine as long as she did not do the mission for him.

The peer pressure of Rin was making Haruki shake slowly as the cat finally showed up to her den the ant's on the ground alerting him instantly waiting till it was in the corner. He heard his Sensei's warning which made him flinch but he didn't stop he had to catch this cat. This cat was a problem to him and all of the others when the cat was finally in his trap.

Making swift movement he turned around the corner in seconds quiet and cold as his hand shot out grabbing the nape of the cat's neck pulling it up off the ground the cat went on the attack attacking the face of Haruki clawing into his face and neck which made Haruki drop the cat darting away but Haruki was fast.

Snapping into action Haruki would chase after the cat pulling his bee's out them swarming the cat making it stop in it's track hissing quietly this time Haruki pulled his jacket off wrapping it up in it not wanting to be clawed again his personal beetles crawled back into his skin hiding once again. His face was bleeding know as he fixed his blindfold again. He handed over the cat staying stoic and quiet once again.

Rin laughed lightly she she took the cat out of the jacket and picked it up petting it as it rubbed its head against her neck. " Aww your such a good kitty aren't you? You just wanted to play didn't you? " she said before smiling as she continued to hold and pet the purring cat. Rin then knelt down holding the cat still.

" Haruki. Come here and pet the cat, She will not hurt you.You just scared her she wanted to play, now come pet her." she said trying to get the boy to talk. Though it would prove hard. Rin then sighed as she put the cat on a leash and put the cat down handing the leash to Haruki. " Take her back to her owner and the mission is over." she said shaking her head before she started to walk ahead of Haruki heading back towards the village.

Rin could go for some food right now, maybe meat and rice, with some sauce oh, that sounded good. Though she had to make sure that Haruki go the cat back safely with out killing the poor creature. Cats were easily scared and loved to play, she hoped he would understand that and know the cat would not claw him for no reason. You cannot sneak up on them. It frightens the cats. Rin felt like she had to give him lessons on animal care next, maybe dog walking? or giving some pets baths in the village. She had to find another Mission for the boy.

The jacket was free so Haruki quickly swung that on and put up his hood hiding most of his face behind the collar looking straight at his sensei nodding slowly bringing his hand out as stoic as usual. When the cat went to play again he would pull his hand back again his dislike for the animal grew more and more each time he touched it. He did pet it softly not really caring for the cat.

Once on the leash was on the cat and given to Haruki, he thought these animals weren't like dogs they where cats so they must be a like he thought. As he walked the cat walked closely to him rubbing against his leg from time to time which made him relax eventually from his stoic and coldless look. He kinda looked like warm but he mostly moved past people heading towards the cat owners house.

Once at the cat ladies house Haruki would gently knock on the door soft rasp's using his bare knuckles. Once the owner opens the door Haruki would look up at her noticing she was a woman of weight with purple hair, and brown eyes. She was wearing a flowing purple dress that matched her hair when she suddenly snatched Haruki which made him flinch feeling himself getting squished. He held his tongue offering the leash to the woman which she took gratefully and left inside the house he didn't get his reward but Haruki didn't care as long as the cat was gone.
