SHINOBI RANKS

When the wide ocean dries up, when the sun loses its light - Maybe that's when this love will stop. When the snow falls for the thousandth time, when the stars fall like rain, perhaps that's when you'll know my heart that goes only towards you.

Academy Description: They are not an actual part of the shinobi force, as they are still in the process of mastering the very basics of the ninja lifestyle. Academy students spend their time honing the various skills they are required to have and undergoing various tests and exams to see how they progress.
Ages: 8-12

Academy characters:

Year 1: May have one of five E rank jutsu

Year 2: May have two of the E rank jutsu

Year 3: May have three of the E rank jutsu

Year 4 : May have five of the five E rank jutsu

Genin Description: Genin are the lowest level of ninja and also the ones that display the most difference in power. When they become genin, ninja start to do their bit for their village's economy – being sent on missions that the village gets paid for. They are typically sent either on D-rank missions, which are almost entirely risk-free jobs of manual labor, or, rarely, on C-rank missions, which are a cut above that and begin to verge on real "ninja" work that have a very low possibility of risk to the ninja involved.
Minimum Age: 12+

Genin Characters:

May have four D and four C rank jutsu. One B ranked jutsu

Chunin Description: Chūnin are ninja who are qualified to guide other ninja and lead missions. Chūnin have reached a level of maturity and ability that primarily consists of leadership skills and tactical prowess. Some of them move on to function as Academy teachers and others serve as team leaders in charge of small teams who need to make decisions and utilize the skills of the shinobi under their command to the maximum effect.
Minimum Age: 15+
Mission Ranks: C, B

Requirements: To Level up An overall pass in the chunin exams

Chunin Characters:

May have up to six D six C rank jutsu, two B rank jutsu. One A-rank jutsu.





Tokubetsu Jonin Description: Tokubetsu Jōnin are ninja who, rather than all-around jōnin training, have jōnin-level ability in a specific area or skill, much like warrant officers in real-world militaries. They are elite specialists in their areas and are often assigned as subordinates to regular jōnin when their services are needed.
Minimum Age: 18+
Mission Ranks: C, B, A, S

Special Jonin Characters:

May have up to six D six C rank jutsu, four B rank jutsu. two A-rank jutsu.
1 S rank in the area of their specialization.


Requirements:

Jonin Description: Jōnin are generally highly-experienced shinobi with great individual skill who serve as military captains. They are often sent on A-rank missions, and experienced jōnin may even be sent on S-rank missions (which are considered to be the greatest difficulty). It is not unusual for jōnin to go on missions alone.
Minimum Age: 23+
Mission Ranks: B, A, S

Jonin Characters:

May have up to seven D, Seven C and Seven B rank jutsu, five A rank jutsu. One S Rank jutsu.

Sannin Description: Title give by the Kage to a shinobi sometimes more powerful than them. There is only one per village and often operate under the Kage's order or on there own. They mainly take on S-rank missions.
Minimum Age: 23+
Mission Ranks: S

Sannin Characters:

May have up to eight D, eight C and eight B rank jutsu, seven A rank jutsu. four S Rank jutsu.

Shinobi Positions

Academy Teacher

Age: 15+
Average Ranks: Chuunin +


ANBU

Age: 15+
Average Ranks: Chuunin+
ANBU Captain: Jounin ( 24+ )
The ANBU take orders directly from the Kage, performing special high-level missions, such as assassinations and torture. The ANBU usually work in teams formed to the requirements of the mission, ensuring maximum success. The shinobi in the ANBU are hand-picked by the Kage; chosen for their individual capabilities and special skills. Age, gender, background, or previous rank bear no weight in this decision. Members can also leave the organization to return to the regular forces. They wear their mask even in their own village, for their identity as an ANBU agent is to be known only by the Kage and village elders, with the exception of Konohagakure's "Root" ANBU members. There are apparently no true ranks within the ANBU, unlike within the regular forces. Team leadership and hierarchy seem to be based on merit and experience. The leaders of the teams are called squad leaders, a position held in high regard.

Medical Shinobi

Age: 15+
Average Ranks: Chuunin+
Head Medic: Jounin (35+ Years)
Medical-nin are ninja who specialize in medical treatment and use of medical-oriented techniques to heal others. Becoming a medical-nin requires high intelligence and excellent chakra control. A medical-nin is trained to avoid getting injured in any way, for the reason that if they are injured, then there would be nobody to heal the other members of their team. Medical-nin accompany other ninja on high ranking missions to increase the success rate of the mission and overall survival rate of the squad.


Hunter Shinobi

Age: 18+
Average Ranks: Special Jounin+
Hunter-nin which are given the specific duty of hunting down missing-nin. They completely erase the person they're searching for by means of their superior assassination techniques and medical skills.

Council

Age: 28 +
Average Rank: Jounin
Although the kage always has the final say in the matter, the councilors are there to give their opinions and advice, thus making sure the decisions made are fair and take into account all possibilities and viewpoints. Both have decades' worth of experience and knowledge and hold a social position similar to that of the kage. They exert great influence over the governing of their village and have garnished wide support from the village's shinobi and are regarded with the same respect as that of the kage. It was up to them to choose a new kage after their villages kage has died.

Missing Shinobi (Nuke-Nin)

Age: 12+
Average Ranks:Genin+
Missing-nin are ninja who left their village without the intention of returning and severing ties with the said village, often because they have committed criminal acts or to pursue other personal gains. The ninja village that they are from will often try to track them down and eliminate them. Several missing-nin do not stop wearing their forehead protector, while others may discard them. Kirigakure has a special hunter-nin task-force whose only objective is killing traitorous ninja. Not only is this done as a punishment for treason, but also to protect the secrets of the village, since it is possible to learn some of the village's techniques from the autopsy of their users. Depending on the village leader's decisions, the missing-nin in question may be given leniency. The Bingo Book contains information on every missing-nin and is given to every jōnin and ANBU member by their respective Kage.

Kage

Age: 24+
Average Ranks: Jonin+
A Kage is the leader of one of the five most powerful hidden villages and are generally acknowledged as the most powerful ninja in their respective villages. They are collectively known as the Five Kage.


Sannin

Age: 24+
Average Ranks: Jonin
A Sennin is a title given to a shinobi by the Kage. They are one of the most powerful ninja in the village, though some Sannin are even more powerful than there kage. There is only one Sannin per village.
